Ergonomics Specialist
The anticipated duration of this temporary assignment is approximately one year. Please note: this is part-time, 18-20 hours per week. Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco and travel between all UCSF sites in the San Francisco Bay Area using available transportation options.

You'll help advance UCSF's mission of Advancing Health Worldwide by supporting employees in diverse environments including offices, labs, clinics, research, and material handling settings.
Under the direction of the Program Manager/Principal Ergonomist, you will:
- Conduct onsite and virtual ergonomics evaluations, consultations, and trainings.
- Develop and deliver training, outreach, and resources to stakeholders and departments, including train-the-trainer programs.
- Provide accurate, clear, and actionable documentation and recommendations to reduce risk and improve comfort and efficiency.
- Contribute to program development, process improvement, and compliance with ergonomics and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across UCSF to foster a culture of health, safety and inclusion.
We're looking for a motivated, effective, and team-oriented ergonomics professional with excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills - someone who can balance evidence-based, technical expertise with genuine care for people's health, safety, and well-being. Successful candidates will have at least three years of related experience working with ergonomics and demonstrate UCSF's PRIDE values and a passion for enhancing the quality of work life.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
