"Events and Support Truck"

Shenandoah University seeks applicants for an Events Truck position in their Physical Plant Department. This is a full time, benefited position located at our main campus in Winchester, VA

This position is expected to perform the following duties:

• Set-up and tear down of tables, chairs, recycle bins, trash cans, and miscellaneous equipment
• Trash run daily of bags and cardboard placed on the curbs by Environmental Services
• Delivery of packages
• Support of deliveries for Bulk Mail
• Drop-off and pick-up of vehicles for repair
• PM checklists on fleet vehicles
• Support of Move-In, Graduation, Sporting Events, and other Campus Events
• Furniture relocation and installation

This position is considered essential personnel and will be part of the snow response team to support snow removal on campus. This position will also support activities including but not limited to: Graduation, move-in and move-out, sporting events, homecoming and weekend trash pick-up.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

A high school diploma is required. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is also required. Must take rotation schedule of on-call duties as part of the job.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and meet the physical requirements of the job.
