Executive Administrative Partner
The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (OGPS) at Michigan Medicine is looking to hire an Executive Administrative Partner. This intermediate-level position provides administrative, operational, and sometimes strategic support to senior management, including the Associate Dean, Administrative Director, and seven faculty program directors. The Executive Administrative Partner reports to the Administrative Director.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support: calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, expense reports, and communication.
- Administrative and operational support: welcoming visitors, handling inquiries, maintaining office space, approving room requests, ordering supplies, and managing office functions like SOPs and COOPs.
- Event planning: coordinating logistics for events, including site selection, catering, registration, A/V arrangements, and budget reconciliation for events like welcome luncheons and office retreats.
- Special projects: managing ad hoc projects, collaborating with teams, and pursuing professional development.
- General administration: serving as a point of contact, handling communications, tracking expenses, and attending meetings.
Requirements: One of the following - Bachelor's degree with at least one year of experience, or Associate's degree with at least three years of experience. Preferred: 1+ years supporting faculty or leadership, with additional experience in academic affairs and project management.
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. For questions, contact Kevin Calhoun, Administrative Director.
