The Faculty Affairs Coordinator in the Department of Neurological Surgery coordinates and implements administrative and operational activities related to faculty affairs. This role leads faculty recruitment and onboarding processes; works closely with division leadership to execute recruitment plans; serves as the staff liaison between candidates, division leadership, and when appropriate, the Faculty Recruitment team; ensures compliance with Office of Academic Affairs and College of Medicine policies and procedures; plans and coordinates candidate visits; facilitates the transition of successful hires from recruitment to onboarding; prepares and delivers formal new hire orientation programs; coordinates faculty affairs for regular and associated track faculty; serves as the primary contact for the divisions Appointment, Promotion and Tenure (AP&T) processes; assists with faculty development and mentorship programs; oversees cyclical faculty affairs processes; monitors faculty review timelines; manages administrative calendars; supports high-level patient care operations; processes travel and reimbursement requests; manages purchasing and payment requisitions; supports division leadership with administrative operations including HR, procurement, travel, and fiscal activities; and oversees provider credentialing from hire through enrollment in managed care plans.
Minimum Education & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
