General Summary

Who We Are: With three campuses along Colorado's Front Range, Front Range Community College is the state's largest community college. We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities. Each year approximately 5,000 FRCC students transfer to four-year universities. FRCC offers more than 36 career training programs that prepare students for immediate employment and rewarding careers. Last year, more than 5,000 high school students took concurrent enrollment classes with us, earning college credit without having to pay college tuition. And we were recently ranked as one of the "Top Online Colleges" in the country by Newsweek.

One of FRCC's main goals is to offer educational excellence for everyone. The college's strong commitment to student success means we start by creating an inclusive and equitable environment-one where both students and employees feel they belong and are supported. FRCC's focus on diversity, equity and inclusion is woven into the fabric of our college conversations and decision-making processes. We are actively seeking to hire a workforce that reflects the diversity of our student body. The college is also an emerging Hispanic Serving Institution. For us, becoming an HSI is an intentional commitment to being a college where our Latinx (and other historically marginalized) students thrive. FRCC employees and leaders work hard to create a culture of collaboration, innovation and pride. We're looking to hire people who share these values-along with our commitment to student success, equity and excellence.

Our Nursing Program: The Westminster Campus Nursing Department offers a curriculum designed to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving healthcare delivery system. Clinical experiences include acute, home health and community agencies across the Denver metro area. Our faculty enjoy consistent schedules over the semester and a nine-month contract paid over 12 months (which leaves time for fun or spending time in the field). And best of all, they get to influence the future of nursing by shaping the curriculum and skills of the nurses who will soon be stepping in to fill our nation's nursing shortage. Our nursing programs includes Bachelor of Science in Nursing through our RN to BSN Completion Program, Associates' of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing, and Nurse Aide Certification Program. We are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and consistently ranked among the highest in the nation by independent organizations. This year we ranked #6 on the nationwide Top 25 Associate Degree in Nursing Programs, according to Nursing School Hub, and ranked #3 on the Best RN Programs in Colorado according to RegisteredNursing.org.

Who You Are: As part of the Nursing Faculty, you will teach a full course load in Nursing which may include theory, laboratory and clinical settings. You will assume instructional leadership roles including hiring and mentoring part-time instructors, developing curriculum, scheduling classes, working with industry and community groups, assessing student learning, serving on departmental and college-wide committees and serving as a program director or department chair. You may also teach online courses and evening classes. In addition, you will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop critical thinking skills, maximize student retention and success and support a learner-centered environment. You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills. As a faculty member you act as a mentor for the part-time instructors. You serve as representative of the department by participating in committees, task forces, and events at the campus, college, and/or state levels. You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College. This is an on-campus position with an opportunity for hybrid remote work. Please note: You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment and Front Range Community College is an E-Verify employer.
