Saint Francis University Psychological Science and Social Work Department invites applications for a non-tenure track psychology position, in a setting that values collaborative, innovative departmental activities. This position is open to applicants who specialize in one of the following areas: Developmental, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Personality and/or Social Psychology. Successful applicants will begin the Spring 2026 (preferred) or Fall 2026. Primary teaching responsibilities could include some of the following undergraduate courses: Developmental Psychology, Personality, Psychopathology, and Introductory Psychology. Other possible courses could include Women and Gender, Clinical & Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, Sport Psychology, Health & Exercise Psychology, Applied Topics in Psychology, and other seminar style courses for the core curriculum.
Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, use of active pedagogies, multicultural education, and departmental/university service. Interest in involving undergraduate psychology majors in internship supervision and research is preferred, in the process of mentoring students for entry into either graduate programs or for immediate post-baccalaureate employment. Other opportunities exist to engage in curricular and co-curricular initiatives, including community-engaged pedagogy, a new Animal-Assisted Health and Education minor, SimLab experiences in the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness, and/or interdisciplinary collaboration with social work, health sciences, biology, and more.
Qualifications include a Ph.D./Psy.D. in Psychology or a Ph.D./DSW in Social Work (qualified ABD’s will be considered). Other qualified candidates with a Master’s degree in a related field will be considered. Rank commensurate with experience.
