Fellowship Coordinator
The Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at East Carolina University is seeking a Fellowship Coordinator to manage operations for three ACGME accredited programs: Cardiovascular Fellowship, Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, and EP Fellowship. This role ensures compliance with accreditation standards, develops strategies for resident recruitment, supervises daily schedules, and serves as liaison with ACGME, department leadership, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include establishing systems for program growth, implementing the ACGME Next Accreditation System, and maintaining relationships with regulatory agencies and vendors.
Organizational Unit Overview: The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University aims to increase primary care physicians, improve regional health, and train physicians for state needs. The Department of Cardiovascular Sciences focuses on education, clinical services, research, and administration, with sections in Structural Heart Disease, Electrophysiology & Arrhythmias, Heart Failure, and more.
Job Duties: Manage residency/fellowship programs, ensure accreditation compliance, perform metrics analysis, develop recruitment strategies, supervise schedules, and collaborate with leadership and faculty.
Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education or academic medical centers; knowledge of GME accreditation; proficiency in MS Office and audiovisual technology.
