Finance/Budget Manager
As the Finance/Budget Manager, you will serve as the budget manager, principal fiscal advisor, and provide comprehensive financial and administrative support for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. You will be responsible for managing the administrative and financial functions, supervising and directing the work of support staff, and being accountable for the allocation and management of resources and program results. You will also provide fiscal analysis and accountability, and manage departmental budgets. In this role, you will participate in planning efforts and implementation of department and university policies and procedures.
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. Overtime eligibility will be determined upon salary placement. Monthly Salary: $4,943 - $6,912 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheet, database, word processing, e-mail, and calendaring software.
- Experience with budget, personnel, and management of financial resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- More than two-years of fiscal experience in an academic department in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with WSU systems.
- Experience with the Workday system.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
