Job Description:

Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with a passion for accuracy and customer service? Join our team as a Financial Services Officer and play a vital role in ensuring seamless financial processing and exceptional service delivery.

• Full-time, fixed-term to May 2027 (0.8 FTE part-time may be considered)
• Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas
• HEWL 4: $72,701 - $77,229 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will support the delivery of accounts receivable services by processing billing and receipting transactions accurately and in accordance with established procedures. You will respond to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner, assist with debtor management activities, account reconciliations, and monitor outstanding balances, escalating complex matters as required. You will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and compliance with university policies while contributing to continuous service improvements, helping to refine processes and enhance overall efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To succeed, you will need experience in financial transaction processing, strong knowledge of financial policies and procedures, and proficiency in financial software - ideally Finance One. Your ability to provide high-quality customer service, manage inquiries effectively, and communicate clearly with stakeholders will be essential. Experience in a higher education or corporate setting is highly regarded.
