Job Title: Fiscal Associate

Department: Engineering | College Administration

This position provides fiscal and payroll support for the ElectroScience Laboratory (ESL); acts as department initiator for fiscal activities including Requisitions, travel request, reimbursement request, and expense and payroll adjustments; responds to inquiries from faculty, staff, and vendors regarding financial, travel and purchasing card policies and procedures; serves as department Procurement Cardholder; assists with financial reconciliation; prepares deposits; assembles, maintains, and organizes files for financial transactions; assists Business Manager with financial reporting and preparation of financial statements; initiates journal entries and fund transfers; monitors fiscal activities and transactions from start to finish and follows up appropriately; oversees and monitors release time, and equipment cost shares; assists with asset management process; ensures all supporting documentation conforms to University guidelines; as directed by the College of Engineering internal control structure, ensures segregation of duties in the processing of every transaction, appropriate mandatory approvals and reconciliation; works with the College Business Operations Center (BOC) to ensure efficient processing of travel and procurement transactions; provides a high level of customer service to faculty, staff, students and visitors, to ensure requests are completed timely, efficient, accurate and in compliance; provides back-up initiation for HR activities as needed; works with the College Business Operations Center to ensure efficient processing of transactions.

Qualifications:

Education Required: High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred.

Experience: Required: 1-3 year of relevant experience

The target hiring range for this job profile is $18.37 - $23.99. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.

Shift: First Shift
