Junior Accountant - Accounts Payable
Job Summary
Accounts Payable completes payments by processing, verifying, and reviewing requests, invoices, statements, purchase orders, etc. for the whole organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and approve supplier invoices and statements.
- Track payments, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Work with other departments on campus to ensure proper accounts are being used.
- Reconcile monthly payments and accounts.
- Prepare analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports.
- Aides in the application of principles of accounting and, with experience, may
- Review and approve supplier invoices and statements.
- Track payments, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Assist departments with creating supplier invoice request.
- Reconcile Accounts Payables accounts.
- Prepare analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports.
Education
Accounting majors preferred. Upper Division Courses Completed.
Work Experience
3 Months of Directly Relevant Experience. Intermediate (Developing Skills). Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.
Physical Demands
Typical office environment.
Base Rate Per Hour
14.50
Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations. Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks.
