Flight Instructor
Job Description
Administers FAA syllabus flight and ground instruction to university students; performs check rides IAW FAA prescribed guidelines; instructs ground school if required; administers FAA required ground tests; schedules training, stage checks and check rides; performs FAST flights (faculty; staff transportation); assists in promoting the department of aviation; develops new courses and syllabi; helps with preventive maintenance of OU fleet aircraft; performs dispatching duties for daily flight ops.
Job Requirements
Required Education: High School diploma or GED OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience.
Skills:
- Ability to work with flight students one-on-one and in a classroom setting.
Certifications:
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor License
- Must have and maintain FAA Class II medical
- Valid driver's license
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- Able to administer flight instructions
- Lift up to 45 lbs of weight

Salary Range: Targeted salary $22.00 -$25.00/hr based on experience
