"Foreperson Grounds"

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Foreperson Grounds for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Reporting to an Operations Area Manager, this position directs the grounds operation and personnel activities for the Newark campus. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Responsibilities include the supervision of grounds employees, planning, organizing and directing the day to day work programs to assure compliance with University standards. Responsible for the execution of the campus snow plan, coordination and evaluation of the snow detail operation.

Minimum Education and Experience: High School/Vocational School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of five years experience in grounds maintenance with three years in a supervisory capacity.

Equipment Utilized: Working knowledge of Microsoft based programs. Working knowledge of various types of motorized equipment/vehicles to include, but not limited to, backhoe, skid-steer, sweepers, mowers and snowplow units.

Special Conditions: Clean Driving Record.
