Advertised Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to support the maintenance and operation of facilities by performing basic planned and corrective maintenance tasks while developing foundational trade skills through on-the-job training. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, this role assists in maintaining building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safe, functional, and well-maintained environments.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Accreditation from a technical school and/or completion of an applicable skilled trades program, or an associate degree in a related trades field.
- Prior maintenance or hands-on experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to complete work requests and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Basic knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices associated with maintenance activities, including mechanical and electrical building systems
- Ability to safely use standard hand tools and equipment common to the mechanical trades
- Ability to safely work from ladders
- Ability to work in tight or confined spaces
- May be required to work in adverse weather or climate conditions
Job Duties
- Performs basic electrical tasks under guidance such as replacing bulbs and ballast, installing light fixtures, and assisting with motor replacements. (20%)
- Performs basic plumbing tasks under guidance such as replacing water filters and completing minor toilet and sink repairs. (20%)
- Performs basic carpentry tasks under guidance such as replacing ceiling tiles, door repairs, completing minor substrate repairs, and assisting with painting. (20%)
- Assists experienced technicians with advanced troubleshooting and repairs related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and carpentry needs. (20%)
- Performs administrative tasks to support efficient maintenance operations, including accurately completing daily timesheets in CMMS and HCM systems and documenting detailed notes on all work performed. (15%)
- Perform other related duties as assigned. (5%)
