The Missouri Spatial Data Information Service housed within the department of Geography in the College of Arts & Science
Job Description
The Missouri Spatial Data Information Service supports the mission and employees of both the State of Missouri Office of Geospatial Information and the University of Missouri. The individual hired for this position will:
- Perform GIS analysis, spatial modeling, and cartography in support of user and workgroup needs.
- Perform data management tasks.
- Creates web interactive and printable static cartographic displays.
- Create, manipulate, and maintain a comprehensive library of spatial databases and layers.
- Assist in the research of innovative new implementations of GIS to solve department problems.
Shift
Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30pm
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ESRI ArcGIS Online, and/or ESRI Experience Builder.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Anticipated Hiring Range: $18.87-26.87 per hour

Other Information
This position is located on the campus of the University of Missouri-Columbia. Candidates must live in the state of Missouri or be willing to relocate prior to the hire date. Candidates must be available for reliable and consistent onsite work.
