Graduate Recruiter
Position Purpose:
Ensure that prospective students are recruited, admitted, and oriented to the university and assist in the facilitation of recruitment, yield, and transition programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum one year experience recruiting students for educational opportunities, and/or a minimum one year experience in sales, new business development or corporate recruiting.
- Must be able to relate well and develop working rapport with students, faculty/staff and the business community.
- Experience with managing current social media platforms.
- Ability to travel (in and out of state) throughout the academic year.
- Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the university by the university's insurance carrier.
- Ability to work extended and weekend hours.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Understanding of graduate programs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's Degree. Two years experience recruiting higher education students; preferably graduate students, for educational opportunities.
- Experience leading recruiting efforts in corporations and organizations that are aligned with graduate program offerings.
- Working knowledge of Oakland University's academic policies, procedures and student information systems.
- Familiarity with University support services.
