Grants & Contracts Administrator
Job Summary:
Xavier University of Louisiana seeks to hire a Grants & Contracts Administrator to support University-wide, pre-award and post-award grant and research administration functions in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). Grants & Contracts Administrators will work directly with Principal Investigators and Project Directors (PI/PDs) throughout the grants/contracts lifecycle (from proposal development to grant closeout as well as research compliance). AA/EOE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- At least 5 years of experience in a related position;
- Knowledge of federal regulations related to grants and contracts;
- Ability to work and manage her/his workload independently;
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational and time management skills; and
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong research administration knowledge and skills;
- Experience using one or more of the following systems: Cayuse, Banner, eRA Commons, Research.gov, Grants.gov, etc.
- Knowledge of agency policies related to grants supported by federal agencies, including NIH, NSF, NASA, DOEd and DOD.
