"Graphics Art Lab Assistant"

Job Summary

Assist students with technical questions on design programs including Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects. Help students print assignments. Maintain the lab in a clean and inspiring working condition. Visual arts major preferred.

This is a part-time (19 hours) position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Help students with technical questions on design programs.
• Know how to trouble shoot design programs including Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Glyphs app, and After Effects.
• Do light maintenance duty in the lab such as dusting and straightening the equipment.
• Help maintain supplies including paper, ink, and toner.
• Light design work requested by the visual arts department.
• Help students print their assignments.
• Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design.
• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
