The University of California, Irvine is seeking candidates for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels with Gastroenterology experience to join our expanding academic practice in sub-specialties including General GI, Interventional, Hepatology, Irritable Bowel Disease, Motility, and GI hospitalist.

Candidates will join an established academic program with 12 gastroenterologists, 4 colorectal surgeons, and a research program including clinical trials and translational work. The position includes clinical practice, teaching responsibilities such as supervision of fellows and residents in inpatient, outpatient, and endoscopy settings, and research opportunities.

The UCI H.H. Chao Comprehensive Digestive Diseases Center offers a full scope of clinical services, including treatment in a state-of-the-art endoscopy center for GI oncology, pancreato-biliary diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, GI motility, and hepatology, with locations in Orange, Irvine, Newport, and Tustin. This position provides opportunities for program growth.

Candidates must have an MD or DO and be eligible for a California Medical License, as well as be board-certified in Internal Medicine and board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.

Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) depending on specialty can range from $423,751 to $501,957. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay by rank and step, and this position includes membership in the health science compensation plan for additional eligibility.
