Under administrative direction of an educational administrator, to develop curriculum, provide lecture and laboratory instruction, evaluate student performance of students engaged in the study of U.S. History and other related courses, and perform other related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in History OR Bachelor's degree in History AND Master's degree in Political Science, Humanities, Geography, Area Studies, Women's Studies, Social Science, or Ethnic Studies OR the equivalent.

Knowledge of:

ESSENTIAL: History, with advanced knowledge in United States History; teaching practices, methods, and techniques; current directions in historical theory and research.

ESSENTIAL: Lecture in front of large groups of students; explain historical concepts in a clear, logical and concise fashion; interact effectively with students, peers and administrative personnel; work independently to solve problems.
