Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:
The Hospital Perioperative Assistant is responsible for supporting the patient care functions by stocking, cleaning, and set-up of operating rooms and substerile rooms; maintaining appropriate supply inventory levels; and assuring that equipment is available and in good condition when needed. In addition, assists with the transportation of patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology
- Familiarity with various pieces of clinical equipment and supplies
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced healthcare environment, preferably in an acute care OR setting
- Availability to work weekends and rotating shifts, including evenings, nights and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a hospital assistant

Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support
