Become an IB Deputy Examiner Responsible (DER) for Welsh A: Literature
The IB is currently seeking an experienced individual to take on the role of Deputy Examiner Responsible (DER) for its Welsh A: Literature course.
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation offering four programmes of international education that develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. We strive to develop students who will build a better world through intercultural understanding and respect.
One of the characteristics of the IB's Diploma Programme is that students are required to study, as one of six subjects that constitute the diploma, one of three ‘Language A’ courses, each designed to develop high social, aesthetic and cultural literacy, as well as communication skills. The language A: literature course introduces students to the analysis of literary texts. It is the course through which the IB’s policy of mother-tongue entitlement is delivered. The course is automatically available in 55 languages and available by special request and may be studied in any language with a sufficiently developed written literature.
Further information about this course is available at: Language A: literature course - International Baccalaureate®
