Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Institutional Research Analyst. This is a full-time, calendar year, continuing position.

The Institutional Research Analyst will perform research and analytical duties to support the Director and Assistant Director of Institutional Research & Planning in carrying out the office’s mission.

The Office of Institutional Research and Planning at Rhode Island College is dedicated to supporting the institution’s mission of student success. The office is committed to providing stakeholders, both within the institution and external, with accurate and timely data about the College. We also support institutional decision-making by developing analyses and data-driven insights that provide critical information to leadership.

Rhode Island College is a regional comprehensive public college that serves approximately 6,400 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students through its five schools: The Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, the School of Business, the School of Nursing and the School of Social Work. Established in 1854, we are Rhode Island’s first public institution of higher education. The college is located on a beautiful 180-acre suburban campus in the vibrant city of Providence and has satellite locations at the Rhode Island Nursing Education Center in Providence’s Innovation District and the Rhode Island College Workforce Development Hub in Central Falls, RI. Required qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, psychology, or other quantitative and research-oriented field.

Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in a research/analytic setting, experience working with large datasets; experience with survey research.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree and experience in higher education, ideally in institutional research.
• Proficiency with SPSS or another statistical package.
• Experience with an ERP system, such as PeopleSoft.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
