Instructional Technology Specialist

Job Description

• Responds to instructional technology support requests. Analyzes support requests to identify trends, improve end user documentation and support procedures.
• Prepares, reviews and publishes training and self-help documents for end users.
• Develops and implements procedures governing faculty technology center support activities.
• Monitors equipment maintenance. Ensures hardware, software and peripherals in the faculty technology center are maintained and secure.
• Stays current with emerging trends in instructional technology. Makes recommendations to keep hardware and software standards current.
• Collaborates with the help desk to improve institutional knowledge base and resolution response times.
• Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One years' relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and creative software applications.
