Instructor/Lecturer

This is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position. The position would serve as 100% faculty for the College of Nursing. This position is supervised by the Assistant Academic Dean for Cooperative Programs and will be based at our Rapid City South Dakota site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Faculty members plan, implement, and evaluate assigned courses either as an individual assignment or as a member of a teaching team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing upon application, and a Master’s degree in Nursing completed by start date; Licensed by the South Dakota Board of Nursing, or eligible for licensure as evidenced by current licensure in another state; Two years of relevant clinical practice experience; Evidence of effective written communication skills; Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills; and Valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, and willingness to travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral preparation in Nursing or related discipline; Degree education from more than one degree-granting institution; Formal teaching experience in nursing; and Evidence of professional service.
