InterAge Intern - Lifelong Learning Institute (Chesterfield)
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the InterAge Intern position is a well-rounded role that supports the overall daily success of the Lifelong Learning Institute in Chesterfield, including a special emphasis on InterAge courses and communication. A willingness to be flexible and work synergistically with the Executive Director, office staff, faculty, volunteers, and members ensures the success of this role. This role also requires good mental and physical condition, with the ability to stoop, bend and lift objects, such as tables, chairs, and A/V equipment.
- InterAge course support and communication
- Process membership applications, both online and paper
- Process class registrations and withdrawals, both online, e-mail and paper
- Review Over/Under and Error Reports
- Send class confirmation report to members at registration and with each add/drop
- Ensure all new e-mails are entered into newsletter system
- Prepare weekly calendar of classes and distribute to various people
- Support the publication of the weekly newsletter with calendar of classes and other articles
- Prepare classroom signs and rosters
- Answering incoming calls
- Greet members and visitors, answer questions as needed and provide information
- Give tours to potential members and faculty
- Log payments for membership and other fees
- Make copies for classes
- Provide instructor and class support, to include equipment and tables/chairs setup
- Distribute, gather and file course evaluations
- Support volunteers with various tasks
