Essential Job Functions

Accommodation Delivery

• Interprets for students, faculty, and staff who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing using American Sign Language and Signed English. Interprets for non-signing hearing students and faculty using spoken English.
• Prepares for classroom interpretation by reviewing textbooks, assignments, videos and other related material.
• Provides explanation of roles of interpreter and consumers to inexperienced users. Provides functional guidance to practicum students as they prepare to graduate from the College's interpreting education program
• Maintains confidentiality of student records and other confidential information.
