Salary Range: $53,000 - $57,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Inventory Manager provides managerial, administrative and technical skills necessary to supervise the operations of the University inventory function. This role is responsible for the maintenance and reporting of University property defined as inventory.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervises staff responsible for maintaining records regarding the description, location, disposal and value of all capital and controlled equipment owned by the University.
- Supervises and assists in the data entry and maintenance of all property records into the PeopleSoft and State Property Accounting (SPA) mainframe inventory programs.
- Supervises and processes stolen and missing equipment reports, and the review of purchase order and receiving documents. Processes equipment transfers between departments.
- Acts as UTSA liaison with the UT Austin Inventory Department.
- Creates, maintains and reconciles the Inventory departmental budget.
- Oversees all departmental hiring, supervision and administrative functions related to departmental staff such as vacation and sick leave recording and reporting, training, and staff performance evaluations.
- Plans and initiates the Annual Physical Inventory for all university departments, reviews the Annual Physical Inventory reports and reconciles report discrepancies.
- Conducts an annual audit of a percentage of Annual Physical Inventory reports, analyzes those results, creates management reports and revises policies and procedures of inventory accordingly.
- Conducts property disposals of state owned equipment and materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED.
- Seven (7) years of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions
- Normal office conditions.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will work both on campus and remotely in Texas. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
