Notre Dame Athletics offers a unique opportunity for an IT Solutions Specialist to join a premier IT support team, delivering comprehensive, multi-tiered IT solutions to keep our Athletics department at the forefront of innovation.
In this role, the IT Solutions Specialist will be a vital connector between the Athletics department and IT, collaborating closely with coaches and administrators to address unique technology needs in support of student-athletes. This position involves designing, implementing, and supporting IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency, performance analytics, compliance, and fan engagement. As an embedded member of Athletics IT within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), this role provides essential guidance on technology decisions and supports our teams in achieving excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bring expertise to advise on innovative IT solutions that maximize business value and meet customer needs. Collaborate closely with Athletics teams to validate business cases and guide them in selecting the best technology solutions
- Take the lead in designing, testing, and deploying cutting-edge IT solutions. Work hand-in-hand with Athletics staff and central IT to ensure the implementation of solutions that meet organizational needs
- Work as a member of the Athletics IT Team, coordinating and reviewing Athletics software and ensuring compliance with University standards
- Serve as an internal consultant supporting a diverse range of specific Athletic systems, including Sports Performance and team-specific systems, seeking ways to leverage University-level processes and successfully deliver on behalf of Athletics

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, OR equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience
- Understanding of business analysis and quality assurance approaches and processes
- Systems life cycle experience, including requirements analysis, design, build, test, and deploy
- Familiarity with project management practices and methodologies
- Change management experience
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, strong written and oral communication skills, strong documentation skills, and strong customer service orientation
Competency in the support of:
- Experience in technology consulting, requirements gathering, and documenting business process flows
- Technical proficiency across various IT domains
- Google G-suite applications
- Mac and Windows operating systems (OS) and management applications

Additional Information

- Salary:up to 92K, commensurate with experience

- Please Note:This is a full time position, 8-5 Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional after hours and/or weekend support
- This position will begin as a fully onsite role during an acclimation and ramp-up period. After this period the position is eligible for a Hybrid work arrangement (1-2 days remote)
