Lead Surgical Technician- Irvine Operating Room- F/T, Day Shift
Position Summary: The Lead Surgical Tech utilizes advanced surgical techniques, working as part of the healthcare team to assist with direct patient care activities during medical procedures. Ensures the environment is safe, equipment is functioning properly, and procedures are conducted in a way to maximize patient safety. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery, by gathering and organizing clean and sterile supplies. Sets sterile instrument fields; maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. Assists with the orientation of new staff and participates on departmental committees.

Required Qualifications:
- Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility
- Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology
- Scrub Technician Certification
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to lead others and provide effective work guidance
