Lecturer I of History (Dual Enrollment)/College of Liberal Arts

The Department of History seeks applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a history Lecturer in Core Curriculum, emphasis in Dual Enrollment beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. We are especially interested in candidates with experience teaching introductory or core curriculum classes, and/or with secondary instructional experience. This position will include Dual Enrollment instruction at area collegiate high schools in partnership with UTRGV dual enrollment initiatives. The successful applicant will teach HIST 1301 (U.S. History I) and HIST 1302 (U.S. History II) and possibly other core curriculum classes if needed. The search is open to all subfields and periods. Teaching may be assigned at any UTRGV campus.
