CQUniversity’s School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences is seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Midwifery to join our team.
The School leads the way for Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery (Graduate Entry) students and boasts a strong professoriate with deep industry partnerships. You will contribute to the teaching effort of the School and carry out activities to maintain and develop your scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline. You will be expected to perform assigned teaching duties with students on and off-campus with a standard of planning, preparation, presentation, and assessment as necessary for students to achieve unit and course objectives.

Position Requirements
- Possession of a postgraduate midwifery qualification at Graduate Certificate level or higher.
- Current registration as a Midwife in Australia (AHPRA) and a minimum of 3 years recent post-registration clinical experience.
- Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education or equivalent (or a willingness to complete one).
- In-person liaison with industry partners and students undertaking clinical placements, including driving reasonable distances and occasional overnight stays.
- Willingness to engage in research and scholarly activities, including publications, conference participation, research grant activity, and contribution to research teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach that supports effective cross‑campus teamwork and fosters a positive, healthy, and supportive environment for staff and students.
- Proven ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University students.
