Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The Mechanical Engineering program is the largest in the college and ranks among the largest in the nation. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Aerospace Engineering or Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with a preferred start date of January 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- Service to Department, College, University, and/or professional community is expected.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- A PhD degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Expertise to teach courses in Aerospace Engineering, such as Spacecraft Design, Spacecraft Dynamics and Controls, Spacecraft propulsion, Orbital Mechanics and their laboratories.
- Teaching familiarity with face-to-face, on-line or hybrid modalities.
- Record of past teaching Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering courses at the undergraduate level.
- At least 2 years of experience in the Aerospace Engineering industry.
