Position Summary

The AACSB-accredited College of Business at Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Economics for the Spring 2026 semester only. Preferred candidates will have teaching interests and experiences in teaching Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics.

Qualified candidates who possess a commitment to excellence in teaching, student advising, professional development/scholarship, intellectual contributions, and service in an inclusive and diverse environment are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the position include a commitment to excellence in:

  • Teaching: teaching assignments may include in person and/or online courses
  • Student advising
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to work with a diverse student body, to increase student retention and success, and perform duties related to student recruitment

Required Qualifications

PhD in Economics or ABD in Economics

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Economics with evidence of teaching excellence and a record of recent refereed publications
  • Teaching interests and experiences in Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics

Salary for Announcement

This position is for the spring 2026 semester only.

The annual salary range for this faculty position is $85,000 - $92,000 at Lecturer level...
