Lecturer of History
Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of History in the Department of History and Philosophy with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teach general education undergraduate courses in history
- Participation in department and campus activities
- Faculty are expected to teach courses of variable sizes and modalities, including large class sizes. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- A terminal degree, or foreign equivalent, in history or a related field is required at the time of hire.
- Record of teaching undergraduate students in history
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in different modalities, such as on-line or hybrid courses
- Record of past teaching survey courses in world history
- Effectiveness in teaching different course sizes, including large classes
