Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer of Construction Management in the Department of Construction Management with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate/graduate courses in Construction Management
• Delivering high quality instruction in construction management courses (in-person and online) at the undergraduate and graduate levels in at least two of the following areas of specialization:
  • Heavy/Civil (including DOT construction)
  • Construction Survey/Layout
  • Construction Finance
  • Construction Estimating
  • Construction Safety
  • Construction Scheduling
  • MEP Systems
  • Construction Law
• Service to Department/College/University and professional community is expected.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses:

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management or a closely related discipline is required.

OR

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required.

To teach graduate courses:

• A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management or a related discipline is required.

In addition, to be considered as a Senior Lecturer:

• At least six years experience teaching in an ACCE- or ABET-accredited Construction Management, or closely-related, undergraduate degree program at the Lecturer-level or equivalent
• Evidence of highly effective teaching (e.g., letters of reference specific to teaching excellence, teaching awards, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Licenses (PE, PLS) or CCM
• Teaching experience
• Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
