Position Details
Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
The Department of Political Science seeks qualified instructors to teach courses in our online Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) program. We are especially interested in hiring candidates who could teach “Special Topics” courses that would fit into the program’s two concentrations in Public Management and Emergency Management. Depending on student demand and instructor qualifications, we could have additional opportunities to teach upper-division undergraduate courses.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Ph.D. in political science, public administration, public affairs, or related fields. We are also interested in candidates who hold a Master’s degree in public administration and have significant professional experience. We will also consider candidates that are ABD in a relevant Ph.D. program.
Experience Required for the Position
Teaching experience, especially in online teaching, is preferred, though not required.
