Intro to Ceramics Instructor
Associated Faculty in Art will teach Art 3002, Intro to Ceramics, which is a studio-based art course. Must be able to teach lab practices with various modeling and potters wheel techniques. Must be able to apply written, oral, and visual communication skills and interpret and grade student work.
The course takes place summer 2026 and meets in-person in Hopkins Hall.
Performance Objectives
Help students achieve the following goals
- Experience modeling and potters wheel techniques.
- Cover a broad survey of structural ceramics from brick to tile to sculpture.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: MFA in Fine Art, teaching experience in teaching ceramics to undergraduate students.
