Lighting and Sound Supervisor

OVERVIEW:
DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lighting and Sound Supervisor leads the lighting, audio, and projection operations for Act I and the departments of Theatre, Dance and TV Film.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years' experience in a professional performing arts production environment
• Ability to read and interpret theatrical drafting using Vectorworks or AutoCAD software
• Knowledge of ETC networking, and Lightwright software
• Knowledge of Q-lab software for playback of both audio and video in performance.
• OSHA 10 Certification (or completion at hire) with additional knowledge of theatrical rigging safety.
• Knowledge of protocols and procedures for the safe install, focus, and use of theatrical lighting equipment.
• Understanding of digital audio networking (DANTE), signal path, and experience with digital audio consoles. DANTE Certification before or on hire.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a production team atmosphere where multiple performances and productions overlap in the schedule and communication is key.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience supervising both undergraduate and professional crews preferred
• Knowledge of projection technology, including types of lenses, blending multiple projectors, and projection mapping preferred
• ETCP Certification in Electrics or Rigging preferred
• Ability to use ProTools for audio recording and editing preferred
