Long-Term Care Senior Advocate Supervisor

Job Description

We're seeking a dedicated and solutions-oriented Long-Term Care Senior Advocate Supervisor to play a key role in supporting residents of long-term care and assisted living facilities. In this important advocacy-driven role, you'll work directly with residents, families, care providers, and community partners to ensure residents' rights are protected and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.

You'll conduct regular visits to facilities across the region, provide training and consultations for staff, and support resident and family councils to strengthen quality of care. Your work will also include documenting case activity, delivering public presentations, and maintaining accurate reports using the statewide Ombudsman data system.

You'll lead and grow a volunteer ombudsman program, providing recruitment, training, and supervision. Under the guidance of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman, you'll help identify needed updates to laws, regulations, and policies that improve the well-being of long-term care residents.

We're looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities, and the capacity to manage sensitive information with professionalism. Success in this role requires sound judgment, excellent written and verbal communication, solid program management skills, and comfort traveling throughout the five northern counties of Idaho.

If you're passionate about advocating for vulnerable populations and ensuring quality care, we encourage you to apply.
