Responsibilities
- Reviews and maintains PILC and other software programming used to operate campus buildings, identifying code sections not performing as designed and making program sequence changes under guidance of authorized controls engineers. Troubleshoots powers process control language (PPCL) and graphics at the building level, correcting typographical errors such as incorrect or missing point addresses, or implementing new addresses due to panel changes. Tests and troubleshoots the RENO system as needed while coordinating with the FDD team to ensure all point addressing in panel upgrades conforms to both Desigo and Project Haystack standards. Proactively works to prevent system or network failure while correcting known system deficiencies.
- Build and maintain the DXR databases and libraries. Develop new ABT applications for DXR equipment. Program DXRs prior to them being deployed in the field.
- Reviews data trends to ensure that the collection frequency is not causing undue burdens on the system. Reviews system performance to ensure that Z8 and other types of network failures are not impacting system response. Assists with scheduling, troubleshooting, and repairing communication issues from the servers to the end of line controllers or devices. Conducts system health analysis through interaction with Siemens support.
- Replaces and upgrades field panels and/or other controls. Replaces and upgrades variable frequency drives, including the P1 or BACNet network connection to the Siemens Desigo/Apogee system.
- Trains control technicians, electricians, and maintenance technicians regarding how to troubleshoot and maintain common terminal devices such as actuators, drives sensors, DXRs, and other connected equipment. Functions as an OJT trainer to qualify new control technicians for specific repair tasks. Assists in the migration of field panels from Apogee to Desigo. Performs the function as the primary systems integrator for Facilities Maintenance under the guidance of authorized controls engineers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.)

Anticipated Salary Range
Anticipated starting salary is $47,660, commensurate with experience.
