JOB DESCRIPTION

- FULL TIME

The School of Liberal Arts in the College of Arts & Cultural Studies is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor in History and Humanities to begin Fall 2024. RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Teach 24-25 hours of History and Humanities courses for both major and general education students
• Advise History majors
• Assist in the oversight of general education curriculum development
• Connect students with and review internship opportunities
• Engage in scholarly research, presentations, and publications and in professional development activities
• Be involved in university activities such as faculty meetings, committee meetings, retreats, and chapel services

REQUIREMENTS

• Have a demonstrated history of or potential for successful and excellent teaching and student engagement
• Hold a terminal degree in History, Humanities, or closely related field
• Demonstrate integrated faith in the classroom, the church, and community
