Media Services Technician
The Media Services Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining all AV equipment for live events within the Event Management venues. This includes but is not limited to Sound Reinforcement, Event Lighting, Stage Managing, Projection and Video Switching. Media Services Technicians offer support to lectures, classes, concerts, and all other events that require AV. This position's schedule is event-based and requires flexibility.
- Main responsibility is to provide technical services to ensure that the event runs smoothly.
- Act professional and provide great customer service to client and attendees.
- Initiate contact with event groups upon their arrival pre-event.
- Coordinate the event's schedule with the client and share with the rest of the staff.
- Diagnose any technical problems and take the steps necessary to resolve such problems.
- Abide by and enforce all fire/safety rules and regulations in the event venues.
- Maintain an orderly work area as well as ensuring the AV storage areas are organized.
- Notify full time staff when inventory is low or equipment is found not working properly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of AV equipment is preferred
- Applicants must be outgoing, dependable and be able to provide quality customer service and possess the ability to solve problems quickly and courteously.
- Must be comfortable working in a team setting.
- Must be able to stay calm and collected during events.
