Job Description:

Summary:

The Research Assistant position will work closely with a professor to contribute to research activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education and research.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with the professor on an ongoing research project on road dust.
• Participating in the field work.
• Responsible for sample preparation and data analysis.
• Manage and dispose of used supplies in the lab.
• General Lab housekeeping.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Part-time.
• 8 hours per week.

Salary Range:

• $17.95 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in a lab through ENVS160 or ENVS260.
• This position is available only to enrolled American University students.
