MnSCU Academic Supervisor 1 (Director of Student Records & Registration)
The Records and Registration department ensures accurate maintenance, security, and integrity of all student academic records while upholding institutional and regulatory standards. It provides high-quality enrollment, registration, and transcript services that support student success and the academic mission of the college.
The Director of Student Records & Registration leads and integrates all campus records, registration, transfer, degree audit, and graduation operations through Workday Student (NextGen) providing functional leadership for student records and curriculum management. This role serves as College Registrar and the functional subject-matter expert who configures, tests, and coordinates releases in Workday Student for the records & curriculum area. The position advances equitable, student-centered services, ensures regulatory compliance (e.g., FERPA), and delivers standardized, data-driven processes that meet campus needs while aligning with system-wide design and policy decisions.
This position allows for limited teleworking (currently two days per week). Telework schedule may fluctuate depending on the needs of the department and institution.
Salary Range: $30.55 - $44.24 hourly
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) years of professional experience in higher education with a focus in records and registration OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience. (An associate degree could be substituted for 6 months of experience, a bachelor's for 12 months, and a master's for 18 months.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of policies, procedures, and best practices related to admissions, records and registration, enrollment management, and/or transfer.
- Ability to lead and motivate through the use of change management processes.
- Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to fully understand end-user requirements and create viable solutions using that lens.
- Ability to interpret complex institutional, state, and federal policies and regulations that impact student data privacy, records management, and registration processes.
- Commitment to providing equitable and inclusive service to diverse, multicultural student populations.
Preferred Qualification
- A bachelor's degree or higher
- Two (2) or more years of supervisory/management experience.
- Three (3) or more years leading/managing a records and registration office in a higher education setting.
- Experience with degree audit and transfer articulation systems (ex. uAchieve)
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Knowledge of Workday Student related to records/curriculum development and management.
- Demonstrated success in project leadership, collaborative decision making, and delivering results across cross-functional teams.
