Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full-time position: Multimedia Producer in the Office of University Marketing and Communication.
Under general supervision of the Associate Director of Photo & Video, the Multimedia Producer executes a variety of photography and videography assignments in support of university initiatives that are of historic significance and/or high priority in the context of the overall university strategy.
Required Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree. At least two (2) years of relevant experience in the fields of photo and video to include expert-level skill with high-end digital cameras, studio and location lighting, photo and video editing, and digital darkroom techniques.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience telling human-centered stories aligned with institutional branding and strategic goals. Experience with cinema-quality cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and studio production. Experience with mirrorless and DSLR cameras, off camera lighting, studio and location set ups.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the production and distribution of high quality, well-branded, relevant and effective photo and video assets for the university. This includes capturing and enhancing multimedia elements for print and digital marketing materials as well as collateral for internal communication initiatives, brand storytelling, public relations, and executive communications. Responsible for drone photography and videography coverage adhering to FAA regulations.
- Manage the entire process, from pre-production to post-production, for each assignment ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in adherence to provided feedback and the quality standards of University Marketing and Communication. Responsibilities also include audio recording, audio editing, and sound design to enhance video productions.
- Responsible for maintaining digital assessment management best practices, as well as ensuring all assets are appropriately labeled, keyworded, categorized, and accessible to university staff. Assist in logging, tagging, and organizing video clips to maintain a comprehensive video library for easy retrieval and future use. Provides guidance, training, and supervision to student employees and interns assisting with asset management, editing, and production tasks.
- Responsible for the planning, setup, execution, and management of the video recording or live-streaming of various university programs, presentations or events.
Production Manager II (CG20/61121854/FTE-S01062P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05. Salary range: $39,764.00 (minimum) to $56,670.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Occasional travel, irregular hours, occasional nights and/or weekends. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Comfortable managing multiple projects under tight deadlines. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff. Proven planning and customer service skills as well as a demonstrated ability to remain organized, think critically, and perform well under stress. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.). Skilled in post-production workflows, including color grading, motion graphics, and sound design. Drone operation and FAA Rules and Regulations.
