Non-Credit Instructor - ECG - EKG Technician

The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department of Middlesex College invites applications for part-time, non-credit instructors to teach the following course:
- Electrocardiograph (ECG/EKG) Technician
Important: Please note that a non-credit instructor is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department.
Primary Responsibilities: The ability to teach 60 hours (5 days a week, during the day for 5 hours a day for 12 sessions) which includes the following subject areas:
- Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
- Safe and Accurate use of the EKG device: including basic trouble shooting and interpretation of EKG rhythms
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous teaching experience
- Experience teaching adult learners
- Three (3) years of experience working as an ECG/EKG clinical supervisor or technician
- Ability to teach in Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy
- Current certification as an ECG/EKG Technician or as a provider requiring ECG/EKG skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience teaching in higher education
