Nursing Simulation Coordinator, Full-Time, College of Nursing
Job Overview
The College of Nursing is seeking a full-time Nursing Simulation Coordinator to join our team in the Simulation and Skills Lab. The Simulation Coordinator will work on simulation-based activities across the undergraduate, pre-licensure and graduate programs. This position will supervise the daily operations of the simulation and skills lab and will report to the Director of Simulation.
Essential Functions
- In collaboration with the Lab and Simulation Director, oversee the regular maintenance and repair of all simulation equipment including human patient simulators, computers, monitors and a variety of clinical durable medical equipment A/V and debriefing systems.
- Recommend future equipment and supply purchases.
- Facilitate the adult learning process to create a psychologically safe climate to support learning across the curriculum and programs.
- Create, implement, facilitate, and debrief simulation-based learning and assessment activities within and across undergraduate and pre-licensure programs.
- Participate in assessment of student learning activities necessary to meet prescribed student learning outcomes.
- Maintain relevant simulation-based education through the review of relevant journals, abstracts, and scientific literature including underlying educational theories work/interact effectively with various populations, showing respect and sensitivity for all cultures.

Required Education
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
Required Trainings/Certifications
Valid unencumbered Ohio license as a Registered Nurse.
Required Experience
Three (3) years of clinical experience.
Experience in simulation-based education and training.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Master’s of Science in Nursing.
Experience in a higher education.
Previous experience as a nurse educator.
Current Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) Certification.
