Job Summary:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an obstetrician-gynecologist as a hospitalist physician for labor and delivery coverage and management of inpatient obstetric patients. Candidates should be skilled in providing care to laboring and post-partum patients in a tertiary care setting as well as comfortable with teaching students and resident physicians. Candidates must be skilled in operative obstetrics including Cesarean section and operative vaginal delivery techniques. This position would also provide inpatient consultative services to our Midwifery practice as well as Family Medicine obstetric patients and function as the in-house obstetrician for Meriter hospital when assigned including coverage of obstetric emergencies at Meriter Hospital.
- This position is part-time, 10%.
- This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
- The work schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire.
- This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
- Applicants for this position will be considered for the following titles: Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, and Clinical Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.

Compensation:
Negotiable, 12 month

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a US obstetrics and gynecology residency by the start date of the position.
- Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges, by the start date of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CT track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT track.
Education:
- MD or DO, or equivalent required
