Job Description
The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University seeks a part-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. The selected candidate will provide support for the Department of Restorative Sciences at the Dental College of Georgia's predoctoral program in a clinical setting. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.

Responsibilities
- Teaching - 98%: Support clinical learning for students, faculty, and peers in clinical settings.
- Service - 2%: Complete public and professional service.
Required Qualifications
- US DDS or DMD degree (or foreign equivalent)
- State of Georgia Dental License or State of Georgia Faculty Dental License.
- Assistant Professor: Early level career as a faculty member with background, education, and training consistent with the position requirements.
- Associate Professor: Mid-level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor with background, education, and training consistent with the position requirements.
- Professor: Senior-level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor with background, education, and training consistent with the position requirements.
- Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks: Consistent with SACSCOC requirements; Evidence of ability as a teacher; Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned; Successful experience; and Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Part-Time: This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. Amount of time worked is based on work commitment. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 0.40 and is not benefits eligible. Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds. Rank and salary are determined at the time of hire and are based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, credentials, specialty, training, etc. while also considering internal equity and market data. Participation in the Georgia Defined Contribution Plan is mandatory for part-time and temporary employees.
